About Me

Alejandro de la Garza (Monterrey, Nuevo León; December 4, 1989) is a Mexican pianist, composer and arranger based in Monterrey, Mexico.

He began his professional studies in 2005 with Natalia Tibets. In 2007 he graduated from The Summer Performance Program at Berklee College of Music in Boston and began his long standing relationship with the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance where he has studied under the tutelage of Yaron Rosenthal. In 2009, he had his first solo concert in Mexico, Spain, Italy and Israel.

Alejandro has participated in music festivals world wide including in Mexico; Spain, Italy, Azerbaijan and the United States learning from internationally recognized pianists like Oxana Yablonskaya, Einar Steen-Nokleber, Jorge Federico Osorio, Boris Grubert, among others. In 2016, he graduated with a Master Certificate in Orchestration for Film and TV from Berklee College of Music.

Finalist at the Haim Kalmi piano competition in The Eden-Tamir Music Center in Ein-Karem, Israel

2013

1st place in the ensembles category and Best Interpretation of a Mexican piece at the Young Pianists National Competition, PARNASSÓS in Monterrey, Mexico
